On Sunday Eric and I helped Kathy move into her new apartment. My legs still hurt. On the way from her old house to her new apartment Eric and I stopped off to fill up his gas tank. Just after pulling into the gas station we saw a wicked car accident. It was insane and shook me to the core. Instantly Eric ran out of the truck and went to check on the people in the cars. I called 911 right away and the few minutes it took for help to arrive felt like forever. The people in the two cars seemed to be alright… It was quite an eventful Sunday.

Sally and Frank
Last night was the 4th annual Boccard Halloween Party. I was Sally from the Nightmare before Christmas and Jesi was Frank the mechanic with excellent chops! It was a blast as always!

My Cleo
I have been paying so much attention to Mo, that I think my Keekers might be feeling neglected. So check out my puppy… you can see her teddy bear on the ground near that stupid whole in my floor.

Kitty Litter Cake 2005
Kitty Litter Cake
“You’ll need a new kitty litter box, wax paper and litter scoop to get the full effect with this cake!” Listed below is my version of this tastey cake.
INGREDIENTS:
2 pkgs white cake mix
1 Carton of Vanilla Snack Pack!
1 (12oz) pkg vanilla sandwich cookies
3-5 drops green food coloring
1 (12oz) package tootsie rolls
DIRECTIONS:
1. Prepare cake mixes and bake according to package directions
2. Open pudding packs.
3. Crumble sandwich cookies in zip lock baggie with fist. Set aside all but 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup add a few drops of green food coloring and mix.
4. When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss with 1/2 of the remaining cookie crumbs, and the chilled pudding. You probably won’t need all of the pudding, you want the cake to be just moist, not soggy.
5. Line kitty litter box with the kitty litter liner. Put cake mixture into box.
6. Put half of the unwrapped tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until softened. Shape the ends so that they are no longer blunt, and curve the tootsie rolls slightly. Bury tootsie rolls randomly in the cake and sprinkle with half of the remaining cookie crumbs. Sprinkle a small amount of the green colored cookie crumbs lightly over the top.
7. Heat the tootsie rolls and use your imagination to shape in yucky poo fashion. Serve with the pooper scooper for a gross Halloween dessert.

Fred & Memry's Wedding
This is a group shot of Fred and Memry’s new family. Eric and I (and a bunch of friends) went to Homer Alaska in August & September to celebrate Fred and Memry! We had an excellent time. We went to a gourmet restruant in Halibut Cove, saw a glacier, and played sloshball! It was an excellent trip even though 8 20-somethings were stuck in a house with only 3 bedrooms.

Peas!
Gimmmme peas!!!

Look at my favorite goddaughter! She is just too much. I think she really liked the peas. She could not get enough. After every bite she just opened her mouth, closed her eyes and waited for more. She is such an angel and I just want to squeeze her face off. And yes, I do realize I sound like one of those crazy aunts that pinches cheecks and demands red lipsick colored kisses. Just keep in mind that I don’t wear lipstick!

Adelina & Eric in Alaska
We totally rock. I can say that my life has completely changed and I am an utterly silly happy lady again. I have a new job that makes me happy even on the worst day I still feel like I am on vacation. I see live music every other day… I have a flatscreen monitor. I don’t get shot for going online. I get fed when I work a show.
Eric and I got hitched in Hawaii in April and went to a wedding in Alaska in August. This has been one hell of a I saw Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and will be going to see Matisyahu in December. Who could ask for a job with better benefits? Free music!

Beer!
Kathy & Addie’s 1st batch of beer.
Originally uploaded by Adelina
Yesterday, Kathy drove Mo, me, and Julie to Red Hook to pick up some yeast to brew our first batch of Irish Shout. The brewing was Kathy’s excellent idea. The store was awesomely wonderful. The woman there was extremely helpful and even gave us a discount because of the distance! Eric really got into the brewing process and ended up reading the instructions more throughly than Kathy or I did. Before leaving Red Hook we were sure to stop at Taste Budds to pick up some tastey treats.
